Chairwoman of the Board
Nana Bule has +20 years of experience as a senior executive in the tech industry, leading transformation, and business growth. Until earlier this year she was CEO/General Manager of Microsoft Denmark & Iceland and is currently Operating Advisor for Goldman Sachs Asset Management. She is chair of the Danish National Digital Council and chairing the Danish government’s Energy taskforce on Renewable Energy. She is a member of the boards of Energinet, Arla Foods, and the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
Benedikt K. Magnússon
Benedikt is Chief Financial Officer at Reykjavík Energy. Prior to that role he was Head of Advisory, partner, and board member at KPGM Iceland with +20 years of experience in consulting at KPMG.
Dr. Brynhildur Davíðsdóttir
Brynhildur is a Professor of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Iceland. She has +20 years of experience in teaching, research, and consulting where her focus has included transitions to low carbon energy systems, sustainability assessments, and climate change mitigation. She is Vice-Chair of the Icelandic Climate Council and is on the board of the Arctic Circle Foundation. She was on the board of Reykjavík Energy from 2011 to 2022, as Chair from 2016.
Tómas Már Sigurðsson
Tómas is CEO of HS Orka. Prior to that role he worked at Alcoa for 16 years where his roles included President of Alcoa Iceland, President for Alcoa in Europe and the Middle East, and Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer for the company worldwide. He has been Chair of the Iceland Chamber of Commerce and served on the boards of the Federation of Icelandic Industries, Europe Aluminium, Eurometaux and Business Europe.
Elín Smáradóttir
Elín works as a senior lawyer at Orkuveita Reykjavíkur, but she graduated from the University of Iceland's law department in 1994 and was awarded a district court lawyer's license in 1996. Elín worked for the Planning Agency from 1994-2003 and then for the National Energy Authority until 2008 when she joined OR.

Elín works as a senior lawyer at Orkuveita Reykjavíkur, but she graduated from the University of Iceland's law department in 1994 and was awarded a district court lawyer's license in 1996. Elín worked for the Planning Agency from 1994-2003 and then for the National Energy Authority until 2008 when she joined OR.
Erling Freyr Guðmundsson
Erling Freyr Guðmundsson is the managing director of Ljósleiðaran ehf. He first studied electrical engineering and graduated with an MBA from Reykjavík University in 2009. Erling founded Ljósvirkjann, a service company for electronic communications companies, in 1996 and also the company Industria at the turn of the century, which specialized in services for the development of fiber optic systems. In 2013, Erling took over the management of the telecommunications and technology division of 365 Media, but then started working for OR at the beginning of 2015.
Gréta María Grétarsdóttir
Gréta María is the managing director of the tourism company Arctic Adventures. Prior to that, she worked as Brim's Director of Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility and Investor Relations. She has extensive experience in the business world and has emphasized social responsibility. Gréta María graduated as an engineer from the University of Iceland and subsequently worked in the financial sector and the information technology sector before entering the retail sector, first as Festi's CFO and later as Króna's managing director.
Bára Jónsdóttir
Bára Jónsdóttir is a lawyer at OR, graduated in law from the University of Iceland in 2012 and received her legal license in 2013. She worked for the Winding-up Board of Frjálsi fjárfestingarbankinn and SPRON from graduation until 2014. She then took a job at the Central Bank of Iceland until she joined with Orkuveita Reykjavíkur in 2015. Bára is also a member of the board of the Union of Lawyers.
Ingvi Gunnarsson
Ingvi is the director of Resource Management at Orkuveita Reykjavíkur. He has a master's degree in geology from the University of Iceland since 1999 with geochemistry as his specialty. He has worked in geothermal research and utilization since 1997. First at the University of Iceland and at Orkuveita Reykjavíkur since 2008. In his work for Orkuveita Reykjavíkur, he is responsible for the responsible utilization of resources at Orka náttúrunnar and Veitur.
Ellen Ýr Aðalsteinsdóttir
Ellen Ýr Aðalsteinsdóttir is the managing director of HRM and Culture at the OR Group. Ellen Ýr has extensive experience in the field of human resources and has worked in human resources since 2006. She has worked for the OR Group since 2017 and is responsible for human resources for Utilities, Services and Finance at OR. She has a diploma in human resource management from the University of Iceland.
