Since its inception in 2006, Carbfix has pioneered research, development, and deployment of subsurface mineralization of CO₂. The method transforms CO₂ into stone, accelerating a natural process, and thereby contributing to the fight against climate change.

Subsurface mineralization of CO₂ has passed the stage of being a theoretical possibility and emerged as a tested and viable approach. It presents a significant and largely untapped opportunity for safe and permanent storage of CO₂ and employing it on a large scale is necessary, in addition to other efforts, to reach the world’s climate targets.
