Carbfix Mineralization Summit 2023

The first Carbfix Mineralization Summit will take place on the 14th and 15th of September at the Harpa Conference Center in Reykjavik, Iceland.

The summit brings together a global community of leading experts, policymakers, industry pioneers, academics, and climate advocates to discuss the status and potential of subsurface mineralization and the outlook for scaling this approach globally to combat climate change.

Since its inception in 2006, Carbfix has pioneered research, development, and deployment of subsurface mineralization of CO2. The method transforms CO2 into stone, accelerating a natural process, and thereby contributing to the fight against climate change.

The lineup of 38 speakers and panelists at the summit, the full agenda can be found here.

The summit will focus on the status and potential of subsurface mineralization of CO2 from a scientific, practical, and policy perspective.

Subsurface mineralization of CO2 has passed the stage of being a theoretical possibility and emerged as a tested and viable approach. It presents a significant and largely untapped opportunity for safe and permanent storage of CO2 and employing it on a large scale is necessary, in addition to other efforts, to reach the world’s climate targets.

On-site participation at Harpa Conference Center is fully booked. Registration for online participation, as well as information on the agenda and speakers, is available at www.carbfix.com and this link: Carbfix Mineralization Summit Registration
